Junior Golf at Feilding – Fun, Friendly & Free!

Our Junior Golf Program is all about inspiring young people to enjoy the game of golf in a relaxed, social, and supportive environment. Whether your child is picking up a club for the first time or already dreaming of becoming the next pro, we’re here to help them learn and grow — at their own pace.

We believe golf is more than just a game — it’s a way to build confidence, develop skills, and create connections. Our program encourages young players to enjoy the sport with others their own age, and we welcome families to learn and play together too.

Free Junior Memberships

Junior Membership is completely free for all players under 19. We want to remove barriers and give every young person the opportunity to experience the game.

Coaching & Course Access

Coaching Sessions:

Every Sunday during the school term, our junior coaching sessions focus on developing fundamental skills in a fun, group-based setting. All abilities welcome!

Playing on Course:

• Players without a handicap start from the purple tees, playing under our relaxed “It’s OK” rules — designed to keep the game fun and encouraging.
• Once a player scores under 70 for 9 holes, they can begin submitting scorecards and working toward an official handicap (still from the purple tees).
• When a player scores under 50 from the purple tees, they can move forward to the red tees.

Booking to Play:

To play on the course outside of coaching times, juniors must book a tee time by calling the Feilding Golf Shop on 06 323 5976.

Parents Welcome Too!

Not a golfer yourself? No problem! If you'd like to get out on the course with your child while they’re learning, you can join as a Restricted Member. Have a chat with our friendly Golf Shop team for details.
